Modern Coast was formed in the year 1985 as a heavy commercial road transport company in Mombasa, Kenya. It has grown to have 120 trucks in Kenya. Modern as its popularly known serves its clients across in line with our mission of collecting and delivering customer's goods in the quickest possible time and provide customers with updated real-time tracking information on the movement of their goods.
The countries served by Modern Coast Kenya include Uganda, Tanzania Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, and South Sudan.
Modern Mail which is part of the Modern group serves clients by transporting anything from half a kilo to 15 tonnes in the regions mentioned above. Modern Mail has vehicles for 3 tonnes, 5 tonnes, 10 tonnes and 15 tonnes.
In 2018 the company entered the SADC region with Modern Truckers Zambia by opening its first depot in Ndola, Zambia along with Super Truck based out of Lubumbashi, DRC. The aim of the 45 strong fleet is to serve the copper belt by providing access to its customers through different corridors. The ports served from the copper belt are Dar Es Salaam, Walvis Bay, Durban and Richards Bay. In the SADC region, we serve Tanzania, Zambia, DRC, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa.
We currently have high sided multi-purpose trailers, flatbeds and low beds for out of gauge cargo.
